Merry Christmas 2011!

What a wonderful Christmastime we had, our 1st as a 4-member family! First Bridget and Daddy decorated our tree, and it looked terrific! Then the celebrations began.....and there were plenty of them! First came the Kelley Christmas Family, when the girls got to see almost all of their Kelley cousins and the rest of Papa's extended family (and there are lots of them!). Next we journeyed up to Maine for a celebration at Pop Pop and Mimi's, and the girls got to play with their cousins from Mama's side of the family. On Christmas Eve we celebrated with a party and sing along in Brookline with Nana's relatives and had a blast.....Bridget even won $18 on scratch tickets she earned with her sing along performance! Finally, on Christmas morning, we got to open all the presents that Santa left for us under our beautiful tree in Quincy. It was a fantastic streak of celebrations and we enjoyed them all! It was great getting so many wonderful presents, but what we enjoyed most was getting to spend so much quality time with our wonderful family. A Lucky 7 Months with Fiona

Even with all the excitement of her 1st Christmas right around the corner, Fiona found time to have lots of excitement as she began the 2nd half of her 1st year. On top of our fantastic trip to Maine for Thanksgiving, and the Quincy Christmas Parade, Fiona found time for lots of other fun in month 7. She is beginning to master crawling, which means Mama and Daddy need to pay a lot more attention to what she's doing! She also got to take a tubby with her big sister, which was a treat. And Bridget had a very exciting month too, as she moved from her crib into a big girl bed, which she absolutely loves! Click here to see all of the latest action!

59th Annual Quincy Christmas Parade

Today we took in the 59th Annual Quincy Christmas Parade and had a great time! Last year the McMullens joined us and we had a lot of fun despite the freezing weather. This year Nana and Papa joined us, and the weather was different (much warmer) but the end result was the same...a great day! Some of the special guests in the parade included Senator Scott Brown, former Bruins captain Rick "Nifty" Middleton, ex-Sox slugger Sam Horn, Ronald McDonald and Santa Claus. And of course there were lots of floats, bands and classic cars too! Bridget and Nana bought an automatic bubble machine that was a big hit, while Fiona spend most of the afternoon cuddling up with Papa. Thanksgiving in Maine - 2011

With our alternating Thanksgiving schedule between Maine and Massachusetts, this year we made our biennium trip up north to celebrate turkey day. Pop Pop and Mimi were excellent hosts as usual, and the Steeves family joined as well. We got to see our first snow of the season and Bridget had a great time playing in it with her cousins Cole and Drew. She also got to join her cousins and Pop Pop for some relaxing in the hot top. Happy 1/2 Birthday Fiona!

It's hard to believe that 6 months have passed since Fiona Lynne Kelley entered the world, but our baby girl is now 1/2 year old! This past month, on top of being baptized and celebrating her 1st Halloween, Fiona had some fun outings and impressive milestones too. We went out to Lori Darosa's house to spend an afternoon with Mama's former co-worker from Mulberry and their families, and the girls had a great time. Bridget especially loved getting to play with the dollhouse. Fiona is also working on her crawling and has begun to be spoon-fed! Click here to see all of our recent activities!

Bridget's 1st Haircut

After 29 months, and bangs drifting down over her eys, Mama took Bridget to Snip-its in Hingham (MA) for her 1st haircut today. Their outing started off with Bridget getting a smoothie, which she was a huge fan of. Then it was time to get into the chair where her hairstylist wet her hair, trimmed her bangs, and then used the blow drier on Bridget. The day was a huge success and Bridget was a great customer the entire time. She even got a certificate to mark with occasion with a lock of hair from her first visit to the hairdresser! Happy Halloween from The Wiggles!

After spending her first 2 Halloweens as a bunny and a cow, Bridget stepped off the farm this year and joined the rest her family in becoming the Wiggles! Bridget was Jeff of course, and was joined by Daddy as Anthony, Mama as Murray and Fiona as Greg. We went to a Halloween party thrown by the West Roxbury Kelleys, then headed to Nana and Papa's to show off the costumes and take some pics. On Halloween night Murray and Greg stayed home, but Anthony took Jeff out for her first night of trick-or-treating, joined by her friend Jack (a dinosaur) and his mother Melissa. Bridget looked great in her Jeff costume and Wiggles backpack, and said "Happy Halloween" and "trick or treat" at every house we stopped by. Her adorableness scored her lots of candy, which she was nice enough to share with her parents. Click her to check out the photos!

Today Fiona was baptized at St. Ann's Parish in Quincy (MA), the same church where her big sister was baptized 2 years ago. There were lots of babies being baptized today, and we believe the Patriots bye week may have been a contributing factor. There was even a set of triplets! But of all the babies Fiona was clearly the best behaved and other families even said so after the ceremony. Afterward we celebrated the big occasion at the Adams Inn. Thomas the Train at Edaville Railroad

Today the Kelleys headed to Carver (MA) to meet Thomas the Train at Edaville Railroad. We got to take a train ride, pulled by Thomas himself, and then pose for some pictures with him. Daddy and Bridget found out the hard way that the folks at Edaville do not want you to touch Thomas' face! Bridget also got to ride on the merry go round before we headed over to a singalong where Bridget showed off her mastery of the tambourine. Feeling Fine at 5 (Months)

Another fun-filled month has flown by, but not before the Kelley clan got to have lots of new adventures! Grammie came back up from Florida for the wedding of Mama's cousin Jenna, and the following day we had a surprise birthday brunch for Grammie at Granite Links in Quincy. Bridget's friend Jack came over for a playdate, and the girls headed over to Framingham to spend a day with the McMullen siblings. Bridget has also gotten into selecting her own team for the Kelley Family Fantasy Football League, the Neponset Bridge Trolls, but so far her enthusiasm has not translated into early season success. Fiona's Fabulous 4th Month!

Fiona's 4th month saw her 1st summer come to an end, but not before having some more summertime fun. We made a trip down to Cape Cod for Sean and Cheryl Fay's wedding, and Nana and Papa drove all the way down to babysit. We also got to see Aunt Patricia and Uncle Tom Mannering while we were there! On the way home we paid a visit to Daddy's cousin Beth and her boyfriend Ian. Fiona enjoyed her first visit to the Cape, and Bridget had a great time playing with Jake and Claire Kayajan at Beth's house. Fiona has also started using her exersaucer, which she is a huge fan of. Visits to Maine - Summer 2011

This summer was filled with lots of fun, and that included many trips up north to visit our friends and family in Maine. Up in Hartland at Pop Pop and Mimi's we had a celebration for Bridget's 2nd birthday, went for boat rides, played in the lake, and Bridget went fishing with her new pole! Over the 4th of July weekend we made a day trip up to Kennebunk to help Nan Reilly celebrate her 90th birthday! And over this past Labor Day weekend we journeyed up to Windham to enjoy some pool time at Uncle Aaron and Auntie Tonya's, where Bridget and Fiona got a chance to play with their Cianchette cousins. Summer Fun for Fiona

This past month, Fiona's last at home with Mama before heading off to daycare at Karen's full time, was once again filled with visitors, outings and lots of fun! The Haven clan was among our visitors, and Fiona loved meeting everyone, while Bridget had a great time playing with Alejandro and Gabriel. We also met Will and Dash Claflin at Larz Anderson's park for some playground fun, and Mama and Fiona paid a visit to the Tracy home where they got to meet Hunter for the first time. The month was capped off by a pool party with Daddy's Brookline friends and their families, where the girls had lots of people, big and small, to play with. Click here to see the photos!

The Wiggles Concert - 2011

As a belated 2nd birthday present from her parents that will be tough to top in upcoming years, Bridget went to the Wiggles concert today! To say that she was overwhelmed with excitement does not do justice to what a thrill it was seeing her favorite group in the flesh.....even if Jeff (her favorite) was missing his first show in 20 years after recently having a pacemaker put in. Fortunately Anthony, Murray, Sam and a fill-in named Brad still performed all of her favorite songs and Bridget left with a few souvenirs to help remember the special occasion: a Wiggles backpack and a Henry the Octopus stuffed animal. Despite the 100 degree heat it was a great show and great day and Bridget is already counting down the days until the come back from Australia for another visit. Fiona is one happy baby, and who could blame her? She has been loving spending the summer with her Mama at home, and she just got to celebrate her first 4th of July! She is so strong that it seems like she's already trying to crawl, but Daddy wouldn't mind a little more time with her being stationary before having to follow her around. Fiona's 8th week was a relaxing one filled with summer fun. We got a visit from Amy Robinson, who came down from Maine to see our adorable girls. We made a visit up to Maine ourselves, but those photos will be saved for a "Summer in Maine" post coming soon. We also made a few visits to the playground, where Bridget is becoming more fearless by the day (and turning Daddy's few remaining hairs white!). Fiona's Sensational at 7 Weeks!

This week brought another batch of new cousins for Fiona to meet, as the Tingley-Kelleys came up from Philly to pay a visit. What a treat! It's quite clear that all of Fiona's cousins love her to pieces, and the feeling is mutual! Fiona also made it over to the McMullen's house where she got to meet Brady, who was born just a few weeks after her. Hopefully Fiona and Brady will be great pals just like their big sisters Bridget and Emma. How can 2 years have gone by already since we announced the birth of Bridget Helena Kelley? Uncle Dave and Auntie Jill were gracious enough to let us celebrate Bridget's big day (along with Nana's birthday and Father's Day) at their home in Wakefield once again, and it was a big success. She also had a celebration up in Maine when we visited Pop Pop and Mimi, and one at Karen's house with all of her daycare friends in attendance. Needless to say Bridget's 2nd birthday did not go by unnoticed, and a big thanks to everyone that helped make all of her celebrations so special! High 5 (Weeks) for Fiona

This past week Fiona moved her baths out of the sink and into the tubby, where Mama and Bridget helped clean her up. She also got to attend another fun birthday party, this one for the O'Malleys, Murphy (4) and Mary (2). Bridget probably had the most fun at the party though, as her cousin Seamus was nice enough to help her play in the moonwalk (and act as her personal bodyguard inside of it). Bridget had a big milestone herself this week, as she began brushing her own teeth, using her Thomas the Train toothpaste. Click here to see the latest photos!

Four Stars for Fiona's 4th Week!

Fiona's 4th week was another one filled with fun. She got to tag along with Bridget and her friend Jack Coughlin to the Quincy Summer Festival, and then we all met up with her other friend Anya Healy and headed to the playground. The West Roxbury Kelleys came for a visit, which meant more fun with more new cousins! Fiona also got to attend her first birthday party, as her and Bridget were invited to a dual birthday bash for the Diaz brothers, Evan (2) and Ryan (1). Bridget even got to ride a pony at the party! Week 3 and Fiona is Still a Charm

Fiona's 3rd week was highlighted by a visit from Grammie, who came up from Florida to stay in Quincy with us for the week. It was a great visit and Fiona is already looking forward to seeing Grammie again soon! But Grammie wasn't the only Week 3 visitor....we also got more visits (and help) from Nana and Papa and a visit from the Windham Cianchettes too. Fiona was excited to meet more of her new cousins! We also managed to get out of the house for a trip to Wollaston Beach and some play time for Bridget at the playground. Bridget has been a great big sister so far! Fiona's Doing Wonderful in Week 2

Fiona turned 2 weeks old today and has been adjusting to life in Quincy wonderfully. Her big sister Bridget absolutely loves her, and it's already obvious that the feeling is mutual. Although her Daddy had to return to work this week, Mama got some assistance from Nana who stopped by and was lots of help. We also received visits from the Steeves clan, the McMullens, Sean and Wendy, Amy and Frannie, and the week ended with Uncle Dick dropping off Grammie for her stay (more on that next week). Fiona's First Week

How the time flies...Fiona is already 1 week old! She has settled into her new home quite nicely and everything (with the exception of her Mama's amount sleep) has been terrific so far. She has already had visits from Nana and Papa, Auntie Nicole, Derek Diaz, Mimi and Pop Pop, and the entire Norwood Kelley clan (when she got to meet her Godparents, Uncle Brian and Auntie Kim). She also had her first doctor's visit on Friday, where she received a clean bill of health. She is nearly back up to birth weight already and she measured in at 20 1/4 inches long (I'm guessing they got it wrong at her birth or she is really growing fast!). Unfortunately Daddy has to go back to work this week, but we've had a great time getting adjusted to our new family member and she seems to be adjusting well to us too! Of course it helps when you have the world's best big sister in Bridget, who is taking great care of her baby sister and seems to be adjusting better than anyone. Fiona Comes Home!

After less than 48 hours spent at Brigham & Women's hospital, Fiona has come home to Quincy! She has already gotten to meet Nana, Papa, and her big sister Bridget, and can't wait to meet the rest of her new family and friends! Her first meeting with her big sister could not have gone any better as Bridget clearly loves Fiona as much as we do already. Even though the hospital room had a great view of Boston, it's certainly nice to be home. Special thanks to Nana and Papa for taking care of Bridget while we went to the hospital! Fiona Lynne Kelley

True to form in the Kelley household she took her sweet time getting here (5 days after her due date), but just like her big sister she was worth the wait. At 2:28 pm this afternoon Fiona Lynne Kelley finally arrived! She weighs 8 lbs 15 oz and is 19 inches long. Both mother and daughter are doing great and, also like her big sister, she is absolutely adorable! What a happy Mother's Day!!!

Easter 2011

What a wonderful Easter! The Easter Bunny came to Quincy and Bridget did a great job finding all of the Easter Eggs he hid around the living room. He also left Easter baskets for everyone in the family...but Bridget definitely liked her's the most! She got jelly beans, chocolates, new weebles, a new book, an Angelina Ballerina movie, a Super Why! activity book and a bunny on a skateboard. We then went over to Norwood where Uncle Brian's family hosted their annual Easter brunch and Easter Egg hunt (2nd straight loss for Daddy's team!). Sesame Street Live!

Bridget went to the Sesame Street Live show today of "Elmo's Green Thumb" at Boston University's Agganis Arena. She took her Elmo doll with her and ended up leaving with an Elmo balloon too! (a reward for being such a good girl for the 2nd half of the show). Mama and Daddy joined her, as did the Todd, Sarah and Emma McMullen. Highlights included both Elmo and Zoe waving to Bridget, but the #1 highlight was clearly getting the Elmo balloon at the end. 2011 Newport (RI) Vacation

With our new addition due in just 6 weeks (May 3) we decided to take one last mini-vacation as the Kelley trio before becoming the Kelley quartet. We went down to Newport, Rhode Island for a long weekend of relaxation, staying at the Hotel Viking. Bridget was a little overwhelmed when we fist arrived by all of the people surrounding us to hold the door, take the luggage and check us in, saying "I don't want to go on vacation"...but by Sunday she didn't want to leave. (She also yelled "he's taking our car" when the valet drove off). We had a great time playing in the pool, lounging in our room and wandering around Newport. With the first day of spring arriving tomorrow (and not a moment too soon) it seemed an appropriate time to take a look back on the winter season that just passed. As usual the Kelley clan was up to lots of good stuff: playing in the snow, getting together with the Bentley crew, visiting the Norwood Kelleys, being visited by Pop Pop and Mimi, heading to Windham (Grammie was there!) and Hartland too. Even around the house we stayed busy reading, coloring, eating or just relaxing. Princess Bridget Goes Partying

Our lovely Miss Bidget became Princess Bridget for the afternoon, when she attended a Prince & Princess Party in honor of her friend Harper's 3rd birthday. Joining in the fun were here friend's from Karen's house, and fellow princesses, Anya, Lily and Ella, along with princes Jack and Tyler. There were wands, tiaras, cupcakes and lots of fun! Merry Christmas 2010!

December was a month of Christmas celebrations for the Kelley clan, going from Massachusetts to Maine, back to Massachusetts and back up to Maine, and finally back to Massachusetts to celebrate December 25 at home in Quincy. Even though last year was Bridget's first Christmas, this year was even more exciting as she got to participate in everything from picking out a tree, to decorating the tree (see photo), to singing Christmas carols. Make that one Christmas carol: Jingle Bells. Most important of all, it was clear that Santa Claus thought Bridget was a good girl last year, as he chose to fill her stocking up with toys and leave plenty of presents under the tree. Bridget Goes to Water Babies

Bridget has begun swimming lessons as part of the "Water Babies" at the Quincy YMCA. So far, so good as she is a huge fan of being in the pool and is getting more comfortable each Saturday morning. She enjoys all of the pool activities in the class: Humpty Dumpty, Motor Boat and Blast Off to name a just a few. But her favorite part might be where they hand out rubber duckies for the students to use. Bridget is usually the only person that grabs two of the floating friends (as seen in this picture) and is pretty reluctant to give them back too. But aside form that she is loving the water and her class. 58th Annual Quincy Christmas Parade

Since Bridget enjoyed the Memorial Day Parade in Norwood this year, we figured it would be fun to go parading in our backyard...and we were right! First, on Saturday, we went to watch Santa Claus and his elves parachute into Quincy, and they all stuck perfect landings. Aside from Santa walking right past Bridget afterward (at least the elves were nice) it was a great day. The next day the McMullen family, including Bridget's friend Emma, joined us to watch the 58th Annual Quincy Christmas Parade. It was a fun time with lots of bands, politicians, floats and fancy cars going by...but it seemed like Wally the Green Monster was the biggest hit of the parade. Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

This Thanksgiving, thanks to our alternating schedule, was Bridget's 1st in Brookline. The last time we had Thanksgiving in Brookline we made the announcement that Megan was pregnant, so this year was not quite as exciting since the cat was already out of the bag about Megan being pregnant again...but still a very nice time just the same. Nana prepared a delicious feast as usual and Bridget was terrific (also as usual) and aside from missing the Maine crew it was a perfect day. The next night we got together with a group of my Brookline friends (Walker Coppedge, Dave Friedberg, Mike Haven, Josh Jones, Lisa Malley, Jennie Segel) and their families at Golden Temple for our second delicious feast in a row. Halloween & Other October Excitement

Following her amazing performance as a pink bunny last year, we knew it would be tough for Bridget to top that this Halloween. And while she may not have outdone her 2009 performance (who could have?) she just may have equaled it with her outstanding interpretation of a cow. But dressing up for Halloween wasn't the only excitement happening in October for the Kelley clan. There was also a trip up to New Hampshire to see the Jones family for a fall festival, cheering on Uncle Brian as he ran a half marathon, the start of Bruins season (Bridget's favorite team) and meeting more new friends.....Click here to see all of the photos from our busy October!

More Maine Time for the Kelleys

Although we've had lots of nice visits up to Maine this past summer, when there was occasion to head back up north to kick off the fall, we decided to do just that. In this particular case there were two nice occasions (on top of the usual ones) to get excited to head up to the Hartland/Pittsfield area. Not only was there a get-together for Pop Pop's siblings and their families at his house this weekend, but we were also able to meet the some new babies! Megan's friend Mary Savage and her husband Chad were in Pittsfield (visiting from New Jersey) with their adorable twin babies Brooke and Tilly, who were born this past April. Bridget Kelley = Party Animal

Bridget just attended her first birthday party (aside from her own) and had a great time! She went to her friend Anya's 2nd birthday party and her friends from Karen's daycare were there to party with her: Anya, Harper, Tyler, Jack and Ella. The highlights of the day included being pulled in a wagon with Jack by his daddy, playing in the sandbox with Harper, going through the tunnel in Anya's playroom, and of course, eating cake! Make Way for Bridget!

The Kelley family capped off our Labor Day weekend by heading to the Boston Public Garden. Bridget was a big fan of the Make Way for Ducklings statues, despite having to throw a few elbows to sit down on them. Bridget has been busy learning to walk and talk and do just about everything else there is to learn....but she's also been very busy making lots of new friends. Maine Visits: Summer of 2010

This past summer the Quincy Kelleys made several journeys up to visit Mama's family and friends in her native Maine. Whether it was spending time at Pop Pop and Mimi's, going for a boat ride on Great Moose Lake, seeing all of Bridget's big cousins or meeting her newest one (welcome to the world Luke William Cianchette!) our visits have been terrific! 2010 Ogunquit (ME) Vacation

This past week we headed up to Ogunquit, Maine, the area where Bridget's parents (as we are now apparently known) were married 3 years ago. Although we went back in 2008 for our 1 year anniversary, this year was even nicer because we got to bring Bridget along with us. We spent time walking around Ogunquit, going to the pool and doing lots of relaxing. Bridget also made her first trip to the beach and she absolutely loved it! We also met Nana and Papa at the York Animal Kingdom for a day, which was really nice (especially for "Papa's girl"). Click here to see some photos from our terrific vacation in Ogunquit!

Grammie Comes to Quincy

Grammie came up from Florida this past week and Bridget loved getting to see her again! Bridget had changed so much since the last time Grammie saw her, back on our Florida trip in March. She has gotten so much bigger in the last 5 months, is talking so much more, is walking now, has some teeth and even a full head of hair (unfortunately the same cannot be said of Daddy!). They had a terrific time together and we all enjoyed having Grammie here for the week. We're already looking forward to doing it again! Look's Who's Walking!

We've witnessed her go from a log roll, to an Army crawl, to crawling, to cruising, to walking a step or two from one person to another. But as of July 31, 2010 Bridget Helena Kelley can walk! Her first "real" steps (more than 2 at a time) were going from one side of the room to the other to retrieve a Cookie Monster stuffed animal for her Daddy. If she takes to walking like she took to talking, she'll have the carpet in our living room worn out in no time at all. Congratulations Bridget, your Mama and Daddy are so proud of you! 2010 Woodstock (VT) Vacation

The Kelleys just returned from a long weekend at the Woodstock Inn in Woodstock (Vt) and had a fantastic time. There was swimming, a stop by Billings Farm (including homemade ice cream), a journey to the Simon Pearce factory, and most of all lots and lots of relaxation. The Woodstock Inn was originally owned by the Rockefeller family, and this weekend I'd say that the Kelley clan did them proud. Wow, how time flies when you're having fun! Bridget has turned 1 (which also means Mama and Daddy get to celebrate their 1st year of mostly successful parenting). There was no shortage of celebrations for Miss B. First there was a cake at Pop Pop and Mimi's house for a celebration with Mama's relatives the weekend before her birthday. On her birthday there was more partying with Mama and Daddy at home. Then there was a party at Uncle Dave and Auntie Jill's house with Daddy's family the weekend after her birthday. Also, her parents took the day off of work on birthday so that they could spend the day together and go to the New England Aquarium. Her favorite part was the seal exhibit outdoors, but we had fun the entire time. It was a great 1st birthday to cap off a great 1st year! 2010 Memorial Day Parade

Bridget got to experience her first parade when she went over to Norwood for the Memorial Day parade. Bridgie found a comfy spot to watch the parade with Daddy, Momma, Uncle Bri and Nevin, and to waive her American flag. She loved the parade, and especially the bands. But her absolute favorite part of the parade was seeing Auntie Kim, Seamus and Finn all walking in it. It was a great day and a great parade! USA! USA! USA! Check out the photos by clicking here!

Extra! Extra! Bridget is 11 Months Old!

Only a month away from her 1st birthday and Bridget is continuing to do more and more everyday. She is moving more, eating more, has more teeth (which has led to more drooling) and is clearly more and more pleased with herself all the time. She is also doing a lot more talking. And, not only is she laughing more, but she's making everyone else laugh more and she has proven to be absolutely hilarious. If you can't tell, we love her! Bridget Feeds Herself!

With Momma out at the Red Sox game, the responsibility of feeding Bridget was left up to Daddy. However, Daddy quickly determined that everyone would be happier if he simply let Bridget feed herself while he took photos of how adorable it was. (Of course that is everyone except Momma....the Bridget/Daddy team didn't do as great of a job cleaning up as they did and being hilarious during dinner). Bridget is a Perfect 10! (Months)

Bridget is has hit double-digits in the months department, in this past month was another great one. She has become quite the little explorer, thanks in large part to all of the cruising around the condo she's been doing (walking around while holding onto things). She also now has 2 bottom teeth....and they are adorable! Among many other exciting events this past month was a cousins get-together for the Cianchette/Gould/Walsh clans. Bridget's 1st Easter

Bridget had a great first Easter! She hunted for eggs and other treats at home, and got lots of goodies from the Easter Bunny! She then spent the day with her family at Uncle Bri and Auntie Kim's house in Norwood. This year also marked Bridget's first experience with the Kelley Easter Egg Hunt (which sadly coincided with the end to Daddy's 4-year winning streak!). 2010 Florida Vacation

We took our first trip outside of New England as a family and it was a huge success! We went to visit Grammie Cianchette in St. Petersburg, Florida and got a bonus when Nana and Papa Kelley came down from their winter home in Summerfield, Florida to spend time with us as well. It was great! We even got to see Uncle Aaron on our last day. Bridget experienced lots of firsts: 1st plane ride, 1st trip down a slide, 1st time swimming.....and she loved all of it. It was a fantastic vacation, and here are the photos to prove it!

Bridget is Feeling Fine at 9 (Months)

Turning 9 months (or 3/4 as she prefers) was an exciting milestone for Bridget. She's now become quite the crawler, which we're finding out means a lot more attention to what she's doing at all times. She's also enjoying books, talking, tickles, using her sippy cup and tubby time! Karen at daycare tells us all the time what a pleasant baby she is....and needless to say we believe her! Need proof? Bridget Celebrates Lucky 7!

After celebrating her 1st Christmas and New Year, Bridget has begun 2010 in plenty of style. She had a play date with Evan Diaz, got a visit from Auntie Nick, went to her first Bentley Christmas party, met Bridget Jones, attended her 1st hockey game, and....well, you get the point, the girl has been busy. Now at 7 months old she is sitting up by herself, waving goodbye and chatting up a storm. Check out all of her photos from the past few weeks!

What a fantastic first Christmas for Bridget, and for us as a family! She went up to Maine and got to enjoy 2 Christmas celebrations, attended the Kelley Christmas Party in South Boston where she met Santa Claus for the first time (for the record Bridget's Kelley # is 6-6-1), spent Christmas Eve at Uncle Joe's house in West Roxbury and enjoyed her first edition of Nana's sing-a-long (she even won $2 on a scratch ticket), spend Christmas morning in Quincy and then went to Nana and Papa's house in Brookline for Christmas dinner. Needless to say there was plenty of celebrating this season, which is appropriate considering just how much we've had to celebrate this past year. Our beautiful baby girl is 6 months old! Although in many ways the time since she has arrived has flown by (we have been having fun after all) in another way it's difficult to remember just what life was like before she arrived. Her latest milestones have included mastering the ExerSaucer, sitting up in her high chair and eating solid food (rice cereal). She is happy, healthy and still as adorable as ever! Bridget's 1st Thanksgiving

Bridget's 1st Thanksgiving was a huge success. We went up to Maine and had dinner at Pop Pop and Mimi's house with the Steeves family. Bridget had fun playing with her cousins Cole and Drew and everyone ate like champs. We also got to visit with the Rogers family while we were up there and see Bridget's pal Miles. Bridget is now 5 months old (where has the time gone?) and this last month was particularly eventful. On top of being baptized and celebrating her 1st Halloween, Bridget was also busy in other ways. Not only has she mastered rolling over, but she is also now big enough to enjoy her exersaucer. She also got to make some new friends when the Porteleki family came over for a fun visit. Bridget's 1st Halloween

Bridget Bunny's 1st Halloween was a huge success! We went to West Roxbury to visit Uncle Joe's family on Friday night for their annual Halloween party and got to see Joe's family, Nana and Papa, and lots of other trick or treaters too. On Saturday, which was Halloween, we headed out to Norwood to visit Uncle Brian's family and had a great time! Bridget wasn't quite up for trick or treating herself this year, but maybe in 2010! It was a very fun and exciting 1st Halloween for Bridget Bunny (and her parents) and we can't wait for her to pick out her costume for next year. On Sunday, October 25, Bridget was baptized at St. Ann's Parish in Quincy (MA). It was a great day and Bridget looked adorable in her christening gown and bonnet. Bridget turned 4 months old last Thursday (1/3 of a year!) and she's had lots of fun times since our last update. She's gone to a few parties, met some new people and has had visits from old visitors that needed more Bridget time. Today was a big day: back to work for Mommy and the first full day of day care for Bridget. Let's just say one of us handled it better than the other (and her name starts with B). Bridget in Vacationland - Part 2

Bridget spent the rest of her vacation at Pop Pop and MiMi's house on Moose Pond, where she went for her first boat ride, took her first dip in the lake, and spent some time with her family. Bridget took a break from the hustle and bustle of life in North Quincy to spent some time in the Pine Tree State with her family. First stop: the Sebasco Harbor Resort to celebrate Nana H's 70th birthday. In addition to Nana and Papa, all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins were there too. Bridget had her 2 month checkup today (she actually turned 2 months last Saturday) and all is going great! She had some shots and was VERY brave! (though her parents can't say the same). Her weight is up to 10 lbs 3 oz and she is 23 inches long. She has met many new people: her cousins from Philly, Hagar, Beth and Nicole to name a few. Her parents also had their first night out without her (Nana & Papa took care of her) and we went to the McMullen's for a BBQ. Check out all of the latest photos here!

Last week Bridget began smiling and this week she can't stop! She seems to have realized how amused we are with her smiling and so she's been milking it for all it's worth. After last week's exciting trip to Maine, Bridget spent Week 6 relaxing back in Quincy. We did manage to get over to Brookline to visit Nana and Papa (and have a nice dinner) but the real highlight of the week was Bridget's first real smile! Although she decided she didn't really feel like smiling anymore once we got the camera out, it was exciting just the same...and we did manage to catch 1 or 2 of them. Bridget Makes her 1st Visit to Maine

Bridget is 5 weeks old today and she celebrated by visiting her pediatrician. Although she had to get a shot today she was VERY brave. Her weight is 9 lbs, 2.5 ounces, which meanas she is still gaining more than an ounce per day (the doctor was very pleased). Bridget is resting up after her first road trip...this past weekend she went up to Maine to visit her mother's home state! She helped celebrate Uncle Pat's 30th birthday, got to visit/meet lots of the relatives up north, she hung out at Pop Pop & Mimi's and got to meet the newest member of the Rodgers family (Miles). Bridget has turned 1 month old, and it has been the best month of all of our lives (though obviously our lovely daughter doesn't have anything to compare it to). Since her 3 week celebration she has had more exciting milestones, including wearing her 1st dress and attending her 1st BBQ (thanks for inviting us Norwood Kelleys!). Bridget's Been Home 3 Weeks!

It's hard to believe that 3 weeks ago today we took our adorable daughter home from the hospital. How the time flies (when you're having fun that is). Bridget has been a great addition to our home...so we've decided to keep her! The first 3 weeks have been terrific. Megan is doing an amazing job, especially now that she and Bridget are home alone during the day (though Nana did pay a nice visit on Monday). Latest exciting updates include Bridget being able to hold her head up and turn it from side to side when she is on her stomach! Okay so maybe everything is still exciting to us! Grammie Visits & Other Good Stuff...

Grammie came up from Florida to meet Bridget last week. She stayed with us from Tuesday to Saturday and we all had a great visit (especially Grammie...a top contender for the title of #1 Bridget fan). She also had some other great visitors this week, made her first visit to the beach, tried out her stroller, read her first book and had a successful 2 week checkup at the doctor's today (she is up to 7 lb, 9 oz!). Bridget turns 1 week old today! After spending 2 days at the hospital after her birth, Bridget has really been enjoying her time at home. She's had lots of great visitors, gotten to meet some of her cousins, and her parents haven't stopped being amazed by absolutely everything she does (which is normally just adorable faces while she sleeps). Bridget Comes Home!

After a few days at the hospital, Bridget came home today! As nice as everyone was at the hospital (and the folks at Brigham & Women's really were great) it is still nice to finally be home as a family. She took her sweet time getting here, but she was certainly worth the wait. At 1:18 am this morning Bridget Helena Kelley finally arrived! She weighs 6 lbs 7 oz and is 19.5 inches long. The doctors gave her a clean bill of health and she is absolutely adorable!!! We can't wait for all of you to get to meet her!

One Week Late...and Counting

Well as you all know the baby has still not arrived. As of today he/she is now one week late, so on the bright side the arrival has got to be sometime soon (today?). My brother Brian has a pretty good theory about the baby arriving on Saturday, June 13. That day, 6/13, is my parents anniversary and it would be their 6th child having their 13th grandchild. Not a bad theory...but if the baby decides to come sooner nobody will be complaining! On the bright side, Megan is still looking/feeling great it's just a matter of playing the waiting game.

No New Baby Updates

The June 4 due date has come and gone, though the doctors had given us two potential due dates at the beginning....June 4 and June 7. That means technically our baby is still not late (I know, I know, I'm always making excuses for being late). So basically the only thing we know for sure at this point is that the baby will be born sometime in the next 11 days (they wont let Megan go more than 10 days over the June 7 date) though preferably we wont have to wait until June 17 because I'm not sure we can take the wait! Funny how the last week seems more difficult than the other 9 months combined (though Megan may disagree). We'll keep you posted!

We met with the doctor yesterday and both Megan and the baby are doing great. She said that she doubted Megan would give birth last night (she didn't) but couldn't really say beyond that. So at this point we are still in the waiting period. On a positive note, everyone seems to take my phone calls these days under the assumption that I have some big news to share. Also, several people have been requesting a photo of Megan in her final days of pregnancy (I can see why, she looks great!) so here you go! The actual due date is just 2 days away, but it appears the baby may have inherited the tardy gene from his/her parents. The suspense is killing me!

Waiting for the Baby to Arrive

The due date is June 4, but it appears that Megan could be ready to give birth at any minute now...or possibly not for another 2 weeks. We are as ready for the baby as we will be at this point, so now it's just a matter of our new addition actually arriving! We are also getting excited to find out whether we are having a son or a daughter and see what/who the baby looks like. Needless to say this is all very exciting for both of us and we can't wait until our new family member is here and we can share 10,000,000 photos of them with all of you.
